Objectives: To revise the alphabet, the sounds and practice word formation.
Age group: 6-8 years old.
Preparation: You will need two pieces of paper.You will also need a box in which you will place a small colorful cardboard circle. On each of the circles, write a letter of the alphabet. You will need to make two or three copies of each letter. Make two circles that will depict the face of a snake.
Instructions: Divide the students into two teams. Give to each team a piece of paper and a circle with the snake’s face. The pupils take turns picking up ten circles from the box while having their eyes covered. The teams stick the face of the snake on the paper, and they have 10’ at their disposal to put the circles in the correct order to form a word. Thus, they construct a snake. For each correct word, that students formulate, give them 2 points! The team with the most points wins!
Time: 20-30 minutes.
