Objectives: To check students’ understanding of the vocabulary in context.
Age group: 7-10 years old.
Preparation: You will need some slips of paper with texts from the children’s textbooks and some slips with the translation of these extracts.
Instructions: Divide the students into two teams. Give each team some slips of paper with the texts and some slips with their translations either in the student’s mother tongue or in the country’s language you teach. The teams need to match the extracts with the correct translations. The team which matches first the texts, and their translations correctly wins!
Time: 20-30 minutes.
