Haunted pillows!

August 8, 2023 by Nafsika-Marina Smyrli

Objectives: To learn or revise the names of some Halloween characters in a fun way and practice saying phrases such as “It’s a zombie”. “It’s a skeleton”.

Age group: Preschoolers, age 4/5-6 years old.

Preparation: Print and cut out the faces of different Halloween characters from a haunted house; zombie, Dracula, skeleton, etc. Stick these faces in popsicles and place them underneath some pillows in the classroom.

Instructions: Ask the students to take turns picking up the haunted pillows to reveal who is hiding underneath. Prompt the students to say out loud the name of the character they reveal.

Time: 4/5 minutes.

Note: For more advanced learners of English, prompt them to say the whole phrase; “It’s a zombie”. “It’s a skeleton”.
