Objectives: To practice spelling in a fun way.
Age group: 6-10 years old.
Preparation: You will need small pieces of paper with words that students already know and a box. Also, write the word “BOOM!” on some papers. Fold all the papers in half and place them in the box.
Instructions: Form small groups of pupils. Each one will consist of 2 students. Each group takes turns picking up cards from the box and tries to spell the words. If they spell the word correctly, they keep the card and they get 1 point. If they draw a “BOOM!” card they yell “BOOM!”, they return all the cards and they lose 1 point. The team with the most points wins.
Time: 10-20 minutes.
