Objectives: To practice writing a story using the correct tense.
Age group: 8-10 years old.
Preparation: You will need pictures from different fairytales.
Instructions: Divide the students into two teams and give each one a picture from a fairytale. Start the game by saying the utterance: “Once upon a time…” Pupils have to use their imagination and write a small story of their own based on the picture they got. Explain to them that they have to utilize either Present or Past tense to form the sentences. When you say the utterance: “And they lived happily ever after…” they have to stop writing.
Time: 30-40 minutes.
