Objectives: To revise vocabulary and spelling in a fun way.
Age group: 7-10 years old.
Preparation: You will need a blackboard, a few markers, some big pieces of paper and some pencils. Hand out a piece of paper to each team and some pencils.
Instructions: Divide the classroom into two teams. Write on the board words such as “CLOTHES” or “OBJECTS” or “FOOD”, e. t. c. Each team writes down quickly as many words as they can that belong to the category you have written on the board. The students will have 5’ at their disposal to write the words. Each team takes 2 points for each word. If one of the teams writes a word that does not belong to that category, then they will lose 1 point! The team with the most points wins.
Time: For more advanced learners, you can check the spelling and only the students who have the correct spelling, can win.
