Objectives: To revise the irregular verbs in a fun way.
Age group: 7-10 years old.
Preparation: You will need to sketch 3 trucks using cardboard. In the first truck write the word “infinitives”, in the second the word “past tenses” and in the third the word “past participles”. On small pieces of paper write the infinitives, the past tenses, and the past participles of the irregular verbs.
Instructions: Divide the pupils into groups each one will consist of 2 members. When you shout out: “Load the trucks!” students have to begin loading them. Each group has 10 minutes to load the 3 trucks with the appropriate form of the irregular verbs. The group which puts the most verbs in the right trucks wins!
Time: 10-20 minutes.
