Put the fire out!

July 27, 2023 by ΙΩΑΝΝΗΣ ΣΜΥΡΛΗΣ

Objectives: To revise the sounds of the letters.

Age group: Preschoolers-6 years old.

Preparation: Print and cut out flames with the alphabet letters. Stick the flames on the wall. Use tape to make a ladder on the floor. You will also need plastic spray bottles.

Instructions: Tell students that they are firefighters, and they need to climb up the ladder to put the fire out. Give two of the children plastic spray bottles and ask them to spray one of the fires. While spraying the fire, they need to sound out the letter. For example, they are spraying the letter A and they have to make the sound of the letter /a/. Repeat till all students have a turn and all the fires have been put out.

Time: 10-15 minutes.
