Objectives: To revise the alphabet letters in a fun way, to establish collaboration and team spirit among students.
Age group: Preschoolers, age 4/5-6 years old.
Preparation: Print and cut out planets from cardboard. Also, print and cut out spaceships from cardboard. Stick on each planet an upper-case and on each spaceship a lower-case letter from the alphabet. Spread them all over the floor and shout out “Blast off!”
Instructions: Divide the students into 2 teams. Ask each team to take turns matching all the spaceships with the correct planets. For each spaceship that students match with the correct planet, their team gets 1 point. The team with the most points earns 2 stickers at the end of the game whereas the other team takes only 1.
Time: 10 minutes, approximately 5 minutes for each team to match all the spaceships with the correct planets.
